We would like to inform you that the President of the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organizaton Mr. Olumuyiwa Benard Aliu in the presence of the ICAO EUR/NAT Office Regional Director Mr Fonseca de Almeida, presented to the Director General of the Civil Aviation Agency of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr Goran Jandreoski a Council President Certificate” in Skopje.

The certificate is the highest recognition for the Republic of Macedonia as a Member State of the ICAO regions, which have achieved considerable progress in improving the effective implementation of the Standards and Recommended Practices of this international organization. This high recognition of the Republic of Macedonia is an additional reason but also a strong motivation for continuous and comprehensive progress in the field of civil aviation. The progress achieved is verified on the basis of the results established by the ICAO USOAP CMA.

Expressing pleasure for the progress achieved by the Civil Aviation Agency in the development and improvement of the performance in achieving fast, efficient, safe and European profiled air transport, the President of the Council of ICAO, Aliu stated that ICAO is an organization following the progress of its Member States within the “No Country Left Behind” initiative.

 “I would like to congratulate the Civil Aviation Agency and the Government of the Republic of Macedonia for the achieved results in the field of civil aviation”, said Aliu.

In addition, the EUR/NAT Office Regional Director, Almeida stated that ICAO cooperates closely with its Member States and during such meetings successfully presents the visions of the organization for the development of civil aviation, but it is also open for the input from the Member States on how to achieve them.

“What Macedonia has achieved for the development of civil aviation is a great success and the reason why this Certificate was awarded today”, confirmed after the meeting EUR/NAT Office Regional Director, Almeida.

This Certificate is issued on an annual basis to the ICAO Member States who have achieved substantial progress in the field of aviation safety in order to acknowledge the fulfilment of the set criteria in the previous year by the Member States.
