Director General of the Civil Aviation Agency of the Republic of Macedonia, M.Sc. Goran Jandreoski, MDA on 5 March 2015 in Zagreb signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Director of the Croatian Civil Aviation Agency, Mr. Omer Pita. The signing of this document represents a basis for improvement of the bilateral cooperation between the aviation authorities of both countries in the field of aviation security and safety.

By the signing of this Memorandum of Understanding both aviation authorities are broadening the regional cooperation regarding the usage of the experts, expertise in certain aspects of the civil aviation as well as documentation. The Memorandum of Understanding also covers the areas of air traffic security and safety, programs, examinations and licensing, flight operations and airports, airworthiness and register, as well as the matters related to the National Supervisory Authorities – NSA and Air Navigation Services – ANS.

Moreover, the aim of this Memorandum is strengthening of the security and safety in the civil aviation department by exchange of information, experience and logistic support on the manner that each side will play an important roll for reaching the common goal.

Namely this Memorandum represents a mechanism for consultation, coordination and cooperation between the Macedonian and Croatian authorities.
