Ten individuals awarded by the state with co-financed flight operations training

Ten individuals will receive certificates regarding training for the aviation activities partially financed by the government i.e. the Civil Aviation Agency (CAA).
The Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Transport, Aleksandar Nikoloski, as well as the CAA Director General, Dragi Stojanoski awarded today the certificates to the ten future pilots.
The Agency on 1st July 2025 announced a public competition, followed by applicants testing, for co-financing of up to 50 percent of training charge for 27 individuals.
Seven people were awarded with certificates for a candidate for a PPL-A SEP land private pilot, two people for an ultralight aircraft pilot (ULPL), and one person for a glider pilot under an aero tow program (SPL).
Minister Nikoloski and General Director Stojanoski specified that intention of the trainings is to improve the situation regarding the serious shortage of aviation personnel.
After this basic course CAA is announcing a competition for a proficiency training that according to Mr Nikoloski, would generate aviation personnel engaged in the state resources as well as in the private sector.
“We continue with the support, the process is open and transparent and I hope that there will be even greater interest in the next competition,” said Nikoloski.
Some of the courses represent the foundation for further professional development and building a professional career as a pilot, while others are in the field of aviation sports activities, as an encouragement for the high results achieved so far by individuals, teams and the national team at European and world competitions.
The goal of the project, as they highlight, is to stimulate and renew the aero clubs and sports airports activities which, due to financial difficulties and unresolved property and legal issues, are slowly vanishing without help from the state, nonetheless in the past they were the foundation for creating personnel who were later used by the Ministry of Defense, the aviation units of the Ministry of Interior, the Office for General and Common Works, the Protection and Rescue Directorate – AT 802A Fire Boss pilots, as well as by the Civil Aviation Agency.
