A delegation from the Civil Aviation Agency, led by Director Dragi Stojanoski, conducted a working visit to Tirana with the aim of enhancing and formalizing operational cooperation with the Republic of Albania in the area of search and rescue (SAR).

During the visit, an Operational SAR Cooperation Agreement between the two countries was signed, following previously conducted technical harmonization activities. The agreement establishes a basis for more efficient coordination and joint action in search and rescue operations.

The delegations of both countries exchanged professional experiences and information related to the functioning and operational readiness of their national SAR systems, as well as key technical and operational aspects of mutual interest.

This agreement represents an important step in strengthening regional cooperation and aviation safety, particularly in border areas and the Ohrid Lake region, in accordance with international standards and ICAO procedures.
