New Memorandum of Understanding signed between Macedonia and Singapore at the “Changi Aviation Summit 2026
The global positioning of the Macedonian aviation through a strategic partnership with Singapore.
During this prestigious global aviation summit “Changi Aviation Summit 2026”, the Director General of the Civil Aviation Agency (CAA), Mr. Dragi Stojanoski, and the Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), Mr. Han Kok Juan, signed a new and extensive Memorandum of Understanding on Aviation Cooperation.
This conclusion achieved during Mr. Stojanoski visit, as a high-ranking delegate, at the special invitation of the Singaporean authorities, marks a considerable progress of the bilateral relations and immediate association of the Macedonian aviation sector with one of the world’s leading aviation centers.
The signing of this strategic document represents a direct assets utilization of the new CAA management policies, as regarding the international positioning as an institution and as well as the growing momentum, ensuring swift implementation of the latest safety standards.
This stage opens a wide-ranging framework for institutional development through proficient education and specialized training programs at the Singapore Aviation Academy (SAA), which is considered one of the most prominent in the world.
The Memorandum provides a direct exchange between professionals and application of the best practices in the area of regulation, safety oversight and licensing, leading the Macedonian aviation authorities into harmonization of their respective capacities with the highest global standards. In addition to the educational component, the Memorandum has a strong regional and technological focus. The cooperation comprises shared projects implementation that will not only strengthen the domestic sector, but will also position Macedonia as a regional leader in the utilization of air transport innovative solutions.
This partnership is a clear indicator of the Agency’s determination to follow and implement the most contemporary international civil aviation technological trends.
In his statement, the CAA Director General, Mr. Dragi Stojanoski, emphasized that this Memorandum reaffirms the commitment for implementation of the ICAO highest international standards. He highlighted that the collaboration with a global leader like Singapore enables access to top professionals that will further raise safety and efficiency level of the Macedonian sky.
