A delegation of the Civil Aviation Agency, led by Director General Dragi Stojanoski, held a working visit to Tirana, with the aim of promoting and formalizing operational cooperation with the Republic of Albania in the field of search and rescue (SAR).

During the visit, an Operational Agreement on SAR Cooperation between the two countries was signed, as a result of previously conducted technical adjustments. The agreement creates a basis for more efficient coordination and joint action in search and rescue cases.

The delegations of the two countries exchanged expert experiences and information related to the functioning and operational readiness of the national SAR systems, as well as on key technical-operational aspects of common interest.

This agreement represents a significant step in strengthening regional cooperation and aviation safety, especially in border areas and the Lake Ohrid region, in accordance with international standards and ICAO procedures.
